Responsibilities: Assistant Manager, Accounting and Finance

  1. Responsible in accounting functions for stockbroking business.
  2. Responsible in preparation and submission of regulatory reporting to Bursa and Securities Commissions, i.e.
    – Capital Adequacy Ratio
    – Gearing Ratio
  3. Assist HOD in special projects, i.e Mergers and Acquisition, launch of new products, accounting system enhancement and etc.
  4. Assist HOD in interpretation and application of new regulatory and accounting standards, i.e. IFRS, Transfer Pricing, Bursa Rules on Securities and etc.
  5. Assist in the preparation of management reporting;
    – Monthly financial statements inclusive of notes and variances analysis
    – Quarterly AC report and BOD report
  6. Assist in Company financial planning and analysis
  7. Ensure Finance Manual is duly updated on timely manner
  8. Liaise with regulators, internal/ external auditor, tax agents, bankers and other external parties when needed;
  9. Supervise and guide the junior staff on the processes/procedures/policies and any subsequent changes/amendment;
  10. Undertake any assignments as required by superior and management.
